The Horizon Polycarbonate/Aluminium Roller Shutter creates flexibility in shopfront doors and shutters. Designed to suit openings up to 4.0m high and up to 6.4 metres wide in a single span. Multiple doors may be used in wider openings. The Horizon as supplied by Prestige Doors is designed to clearly enable visibility of your products whilst providing a high level of security:

Recommended Application

Curtain
The Horizon curtain is constructed from Clear Polycarbonate extrusions interlocking with convex aluminium rigid sections. Both ends of the Aluminium slat are fitted with specially shaped nylon moulded end clips to reduce friction during operation and prevent lateral movement within the guides.
Curtain Options Available
Slotting of polycarbonate slats is available 95mm x 25mm @ 70mm spacings where ventilation is required.
Side Guides
Are 50mm x 30mmAluminium extrusions which can be fitted with a rubber twin fin extrusion or mohair felt buffer for quieter operation. All manual doors are supplied with stops
Locking
Can be fitted to all doors. Locking is centrally mounted within either a mid rail at approx 900mm AFFL or within the Bottom Rail.
LOCKING IS NOT RECOMMENDED WHERE DOORS ARE MOTORISED
Operation
The Horizon can be either manually operated by hand or electrically operated. There is a wide range of control methods available with motorized doors and these can be discussed with the supplier when determining your requirements.
Roller Drum
Is fabricated from 229mm spiral ducted tube or 229mm spiral welded tube depending on operation. The assembly rotates on a 34mm steel shaft which is fitted with helical springs designerd to counterbalance the weight of the doors throughout the doors operation cycle. These springs are designed to achieve a door which is easy to lift.
Motorisation Methods
The “Horizon” Polycarbonate/ Aluminium shutter can be motorized with the use of a centrally mounted drum motor in low use areas. Consult manufacturer for actual details.
Size
The “Horizon“ Roller Shutter is suitable for openings up to 6.4mtrs wide and up to 4 mtrs high.
Finish
The Horizon Polycarbonate/Aluminium Roller Shutter is supplied standard in a Clear Anodised finish (Matt Natural), but can be powder coated as an option (Price available on request).
